Manhunt International, the world’s longest-running male modelling competition, has long been a global platform for discovering talent, launching careers, and celebrating men of character, charisma, and confidence. In 2025, it sends a powerful message to the world: that true representation includes diversity, accessibility, and inclusion — and Jamie Clarke, the newly crowned Manhunt UK Male Supermodel Winner, is living proof.
Set to represent the United Kingdom at the Manhunt International World Finals in Thailand on 10th June 2025, Jamie is not only a model — he’s a professional footballer, the captain of the English Deaf Football Team, and a powerful advocate for Deaf visibility and empowerment.
“Manhunt International is a platform for men that is not limited — it embraces diverse talent and champions inclusivity,” says Eric Lovemore, UK license holder, celebrity fashion designer, and hair artist. “It reminds us that dreams are achievable for anyone. If your heart is in it and you bring passion and drive, everything is possible.”
With over 40 national winners from across the globe, Manhunt International has launched successful careers in fashion, film, and media. This year, Jamie’s participation marks a historic moment — redefining what it means to represent a nation and standing as a beacon for accessible representation on the global stage.
More Than a Model: Jamie Clarke’s Journey to the World Stage
Jamie Clarke’s story is one of resilience, leadership, and inspiration. Beyond his achievements in sport and fashion, Jamie is a committed role model for the Deaf community.
“Jamie is the epitome of strength, style, and spirit,” says Eric Lovemore. “He’s not just a model — he’s a role model.”
His journey to Thailand is being supported by Pearl Clinton and Kelly Stevens, British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters and accessibility consultants. Both have worked with Jamie on previous modelling campaigns and a recent TV game show appearance, and are now ensuring he has full communication access as he takes on the world.
Accessibility Is Not an Extra — It’s a Right
Pearl Clinton, Director of The SignLife, founded the organisation in memory of her father Albert Clinton, a passionate campaigner for Deaf rights. Along with Kelly, she works to help organisations across the UK and internationally dismantle tokenism and embrace meaningful inclusion.
“Too often, interpreting support is seen as an optional extra,” says Kelly, who has served the Deaf community for over 30 years. “But it’s a legal requirement under the Equality Act 2010 — and more than that, it’s a gateway to equal opportunity.”
With the right support, Deaf individuals don’t just participate — they lead, inspire, and thrive. Jamie Clarke is a shining example of this.
Redefining Perception, One Stage at a Time
During Deaf Awareness Week, Jamie shared a powerful message about how, with the support of his family and community, he has developed confidence and resilience — showing that Deaf people are just as capable as their hearing peers when communication barriers are removed.
His message echoes a greater truth: deafness is not the obstacle — inaccessibility is. Through inclusive practices, BSL interpreting, and equal access, environments can be transformed so that everyone has a seat at the table.
“You don’t have to be perfect,” says Pearl. “You just have to be willing to learn, listen, and work in partnership with Deaf individuals. That’s where real progress begins.”
As Jamie Clarke prepares to step onto the global stage in Thailand, his story stands as a landmark moment in Manhunt International’s proud legacy — proving that diversity and inclusivity are not exceptions, but essentials in shaping the future of modelling and representation.
